1. How can I join Riding Club Championships?
You can register a user at www.ridingclub.com. The user name and password you choose on this page will be your login information in the game. You will not be able to change your user name, so be careful when you pick one. To sign up, simply press the 'Sign up' button at the top of the page. Remember to check if your e-mail address is correct. You need to confirm your account by clicking on a link in an e-mail you receive from us.
2. I didn't get a confirmation e-mail. What can I do?
Please check if you have entered a correct e-mail address. And you should check if the e-mail has gone into your spam or junk mail folder. If you still haven't received an e-mail, please contact us.
3. Do I owe you money if I don't delete my account after I have played my free trial time?
No, you will not be able to play when your free time has elapsed. If you wish to continue to play, you will then need to purchase playtime using the Buy Playtime link
4. How do I get this game?
Click the banner on this page to download the game. You will also be able to buy the game in most stores in Norway that sell computer games.
5. How much does the game cost?
It is free to download the game from our website. You will get two hours of free game play. After that there is a monthly fee.
One payment for one month costs 5 EURO
If you buy the game in a store it will cost 199 NOK that includes 3 months of free play time.
6. Does it cost any money to be registered on this website?
No.
7. When can I buy the game in stores?
The game is available now.
8. When the game becomes available in stores, where can I buy it?
You will be able to buy the game in most stores that sell computer games.
9. What is the difference between the downloadable version and the version you can buy from a store?
There is no difference other than that when you buy it from a store, it will include 3 months of game time.
10. How can I pay?
You can pay with most credit cards, PayPal & from some countries, mobile phone/SMS.
To be able to pay, you need to log into this website. Then select 'buy play time' from the link menu to the left. There you will be able to choose a payment method.
11. Can I choose to only pay one time? Or do I have to pay every month?
You can pay for only one month, and your play time will automatically expire after that time has elapsed. If you want to continue playing the game, you can pay any time you want after that month to continue, and your account will still be available.
12. Why do I have to pay every month?
That is because we will continuously update the game with new features and bug fixes.
13. Can I close my account any time I want? How do I do that?
Yes, you can. Just unsubscribe to your subscription plan. After that you can choose to resume your account any time you want.
14. What happens if I choose not to pay a month?
Your account will be frozen. You can start paying again any time you like, and continue playing with the same horse and avatar. No game data will be deleted.
15. How do I change my username?
When you have chosen a username it can not be changed. You can however make a new account if you wish.
16. How do I delete my user?
You can not delete your user. There is no reason why you would want to do that, since you don't have to pay anything to be registered here.
17. I have forgotten my password! What can I do?
Go to www.ridingclub.com and press 'Forgot login details'. There you can enter your username and your e-mail address and get a new password by e-mail.
18. Can I play the game without an internet connection?
No, you must be logged into the game server when you play.
19. How often will there be updates?
There will be updates approximately every few months.
20. What will the updates contain?
The updates may contain any new features and bug fixes.
22. Which languages does the game support?
Right now we support English, Norwegian, Russian, Dutch, Danish and Swedish. We will implement more language support in future updates.
23. How can I see what kind of graphic card I have?
Press the start button. If you are running Vista write 'dxdiag' in the search field and press enter. If you are running XP press run and then write 'dxdiag' in the text field.
Select the 'Display' tab, and the name of your graphic card will be displayed at the top.
24. How do I control my horse?
To learn how to handle your horse, you can start with the easy pace practice mode. After you have completed that you can do the maneuvering and jumping practices. You will then know the basics.
25. Why can't I play ranked matches?
You must be on tier 2 to play against other players.
26. How do I get to tier 2?
You must complete all achievements in tier 1 to get to tier 2. You will see a list of which achievements you have completed in the achievements screen.
27. How can I play the practice courses on medium and hard?
To be able to play medium practice courses you must be on tier 2. To be able to play the hard practice courses you have to be on tier 3.
28. What is the obedience skill?
This skill describes how easy your horse is to steer. Maneuvering & sharp turns will improve this skill. Play ranked matches, custom matches, practice with the trainer or play the courses alone. Riding in the paddock will not help to improve your skills.
29. What is the strength skill?
The strength skill is how good your horse is at jumping. So more jumping will improve this skill. Play ranked matches, custom matches, practice with the trainer or play the courses alone. Riding in the paddock will not help to improve your skills.
30. What is the speed skill?
The speed skill determines how long your horse will be able to canter at fast speed. Fast cantering will improve this skill by playing ranked matches, custom matches, practising with the trainer or playing the courses alone & using it wherever possible. Riding in the paddock will not help to improve your skills.
31. How high level can my horse get?
Your horse can get level 10 in both obedience, strength and speed. The maximum level will increase in future updates.
32. How does the ranking list work?
When you play a ranked match with another player, you will get points after how good you are doing compared to how high you and your opponent are ranked. If you win against an opponent which is much better ranked than you, you will get a high score. If you win against a player that is below you on the ranking list, you will get less points. For every match you win you will get points. So if two players are equally matched, the player with the most winning games will be ranked better.
33. How does a stable work?
A stable is a collaboration of players. You can choose between an open stable which everyone can join, or a password protected stable, that only people you want to have there can join. There will be much more features based around stables in future updates. Right now you have your own stable name, icon, stable chat and ranking list.
34. How do I change my stable?
Click the 'change stable' button in the game.
35. When I try to log into the game I get a message saying that I must check my Internet connection. But I know I'm on the Internet. What's the problem?
You might be behind a firewall. It can either be on your computer or on your network. Port 30550 and 30551 must be open. If you are sure that the problem is not on your computer, you should contact your isp.
36. Can we have more than one horse each?
No, you can only have one horse at the moment.
37. I don't like how my avatar looks, or how my horse looks. What can I do?
Unfortunately you can not change the appearance of your avatar or your horse. The only thing you can do is to make a new user and start over again.
38. I don't understand why I clear some of the ranked matches with zero faults, and others with lots of errors.
There is a great difference in difficulty between the different courses. The height of the obstacles varies, the time available before getting time penalties varies, and the combination complexity varies. Some courses are very easy, while some can be extremely difficult to master.
39. I have found an error in the game. How do I report it?
If you have experienced an error that should be fixed, please report it in our contact form. Give us as much information as possible, like what you did when the error occurred.
40. Why do I never clear the triple bar?
To get over the triple bar obstacle you have to run towards it at maximum canter, and jump a bit earlier than you would before other obstacles. It will be impossible for an untrained horse to get over the tallest triple bars in the game.
41. It is difficult to maneuver the horse. The game is slow and sometimes freezes for a second. What can I do?
Your computer may be too old, or have too little memory (RAM). See the requirement list in the answer below to see if your computer is fit for the game.

43. I don't see the horses in the game. All I see is a white screen and some blobs. Is this a bug?
It might be that we don't support your graphic card (see the list in question 42). If you are experiencing strange graphical things, and are sure you have a graphic card we support, please send a description of the problem and your DirectX Diagnostics (see question 44) to support@ridingclub.no.
44. An administrator told me to send my DirectX Diagnostics. How do I do that?
To get a DirectX Diagnostics, open the Start-menu on your computer, press run and type in dxdiag. Or if you're running Windows Vista, type dxdiag directly into the search-field. Then press Save All Information and attach the text document to the e-mail.
45. Who makes this game?
The game is made by www.artplant.no. This is the fourth horse game we are making. We want to use all the knowledge and feedback we have gotten on the previous games, and create what we think will be the ultimate game for people who love horses.
46. I have problems with the payment system. What can I do?
If your payment fails, it is probably because:
1. Your mobile phone or your bank account does not support this kind of payment or
2. You don't have enough money on your bank account or your phone subscription or
3. You entered the wrong mobile code or
4. You entered the mobile code on the wrong page. It should be entered on the page you are on when you get the code, and not the field where you can enter a code to get more playtime or
5. If you are from Sweden and are trying to pay by mobile phone, but don't get the code, you could try to enter your phone number without the first 0.
If you have another problem, please send an e-mail to support@ridingclub.no with the following information:
- What is the problem?
- Do you get any error messages?
- What is the reference number on your transaction?
- If you don't have the reference number, we need your phone number if you paid by sms
- What kind of payment type did you use? (sms or credit card)
- Which country are you from?
- What is your username?
- When (date and time) did you try to pay?
If your payment fails, you will not be charged.
If you pay by mobile phone and don't get the payment confirmation on your mobile phone, you have not been charged.
If you are paying by phone/SMS from Norway, most mobile phone operators now have “age verification.” This means if you are under 18 you will need to contact your phone operator & ask them to allow you to make payments with your mobile phone.
47. Can I join the beta testing?
No, the beta testing is closed, and the game is released.
48. I am trying to pay, but can't understand the site because it is not in English. What to do?
We are sorry that the default page is in Norwegian. To change to a supported language, please select one of the language flags on the home page of the website.
49. How can I jump over the three combination obstacles?
If the obstacles are very close, you should approach them at slow canter, and press the jump button a bit before your horse touches the ground.
If the circle doesn't get white between the obstacles, it may be that your computer does not fulfill all the requirements to play this game. (see question number 42)
If your machine has all the requirements, you should try to lower your graphical settings. To do that select the information tab in the game, and then settings. There you can choose to lower the graphical settings. You should also try disabling the particles.
50. How is monthly payment the best alternative for the me?
A lot of our users are not used to a monthly subscription cost, and asks us why they can't pay a one time price. Here is a list that describes how this is actually a benefit for you.
* In Norway, a regular game costs around 300 kr in the store. If you choose a monthly payment, Riding Club Championships costs 50 kr per month. That means that you can play the game for six months for the price of a new game. RCC is constantly updated with new content, and in six months there will be some new patches with lots of new stuff to do. So after this period it will almost be as if you have a new game. Therefore you will almost get two games for the price of one.
* When you buy a new game you need to pay the whole price, no matter how much you choose to play it. For RCC you can for instance choose to try it out for a month, by only paying 1/6 of the price. When you buy a game in the store, how many of them do you actually play active for six months without getting tired?
* Since the game is online you can play and chat with your friends. To be able to do that we must maintain our server, and therefore there is a monthly payment. The plan is to keep this game going for lots of years.
* Without monthly payment, there would be no patches and updates other than bugfixes
51. How do I get the playcode to enter on the payment page?
The code you can enter on the website is the code from the game you can buy in a store. If you have downloaded the game, please look at this site for how to get more playtime.
52. I don't use EURO as currency, how will I be able to pay?
It does not matter what kind of currency you use in your country. The right amount of money will be charged anyway.
53. There are some people using bad words and are bugging others in the chat. What can we do?
If you see anyone behaving badly, please send an e-mail to support@ridingclub.no where you should describe the user's behaviour and tell us their username. If you have a screenshot of the chat window it would be even better.
55. I get the message that I don't have any playtime left. What does that mean?
When you download the game, you can try it out for two hours for free. If you still want to play after that you will need to pay for the game. Please take a look at question 5.
56. Can I play this game on a Mac?
No, you can't play it on a Mac right now. But we may support it in the future.
57. I can't hear what the riding teacher is saying!
You need a speaker or headset and a sound card in your computer to be able to hear the sound in the game. There are however subtitles for the riding teachers instructions.
58. I have created a new user, but can't play the two free hours with it!
The free playtime is bound to your computer, and not your account. So it does not help to create another user when your user does not have any playtime left.
59. The game is not working! What to do?
If you have major problems with the game, it is usually because your computer does not fulfill all the system requirements. See question 42.
60. Why does the game cost money?
This game costs money because it is developed by a serious Norwegian game development company. It has much higher quality than the free games you can play on the web, when it comes to both graphic, sound, content and game play.
61. I have just bought the game in a store, but the game still tells me that I am out of playtime!
In the CD cover there is a small sheet. On the back of this sheet there is a code you have to use to activate your playtime. To activate it, please log in with the user you want to give playtime to. After that you press 'buy playtime'in the menu to the left. You will then arrive on a website with a field where you can enter the code. When you do this, your user will get three months of playtime.
62. How do I pay for the game?
Please look under '6. Get more playtime' on this site to learn how to pay.
63. I can't log into the website! Please help!
You should try to clear the cookies in your browser. To do that in Internet Explorer please do the following:
- Select 'Tools' from the menu
- Then select 'Internet options'
- Under the 'General tab' press the 'Delete' button
- Press 'Delete cookies'
If that didn't work, you should try to restart your browser, or make sure that the date on your computer is correct.
